Greed and other Dangers sees the return of Knight Edra Tendric and Investigator Jordan Kells as they work together so solve another mytho related case, and definitely do not get together because a relationship between a dragon shifter and a human would cause all kinds of problems both personally and professionally. This time Jordan and Edra are on the hunt for some stolen dragon eggs.
I love writing sequels because I get to dig deeper into the world that I created in the first book. Side character get to make a reappearance (because heroes need friends) and the lives of the mythos in San Francisco get to be explored a little further. I also get to wind up the tension between Edra and Jordan : )
The advantage of a sequel is that I already know my characters very well and I know exactly how to mess up their lives. I also get to deepen their relationship.
While I solve the case and leave the relationship in a way that is satisfying but leaves questions, I do have a plan for Edra and Jordan. I mapped out the series before I started writing because I wanted to be sure I could carry the romance arc over several books.
While it’s fun to write novellas and standalone books, an ongoing series with the same characters lets me really dig in and it’s a lot of fun.

Blurb:
Dragon shifter Edra has always lived to serve and protect—in ages past, as a knight, and in the modern world as a mytho liaison to the San Francisco PD. Behind the scenes he safeguards the mythos community from scandal—and further human hatred. When the eggs of a rare greater dragon are stolen, Edra must find and return them before the mother razes the city.
Edra’s partner, Jordan, has just been promoted, and he’s on the trail of several stolen mythos artifacts. Together, they track the eggs to a colony of mermaids living in the bay near Alcatraz Island.
But trying to separate a mermaid from her treasure is asking for trouble.
As Edra and Jordan grow closer, they test the bounds of human-mythos relationships. But Jordan isn’t ready to mate for life, and Edra won’t pretend to be human for Jordan’s friends. With the hills on fire and a storm brewing in the bay—and in their bed—something’s got to give.
